Strawberries are also rich in vitamins and antioxidants and will leave skin feeling truly nourished and revitalised. The alpha hydroxyl acids (AHA’s) naturally present in strawberries will gently exfoliate the skin to brighten the skin tone too.
Mashing the strawberries with cream will provide extra exfoliation as cream contains lactic acid. Lactic acid acts in the same way as AHA’s and gently break free the dead skin cells from the surface of the skin.
Cream also contains a number a good bacteria, which is why it is included in this recipe. It is widely thought that this good bacteria fights the acne causing bad bacteria, therefore helping to reduce breakouts.
If you don’t have cream you can substitute with yoghurt instead.
All you need to do is mash the ingredients together, apply to the face for 10 minutes and then wash off. If you have accidently made to much then you can simply enjoy a healthy snack at the same time!
