What’s it like attending a product making workshop

If you’re thinking about attending one of the product making workshops you may be wondering if it is right for you.

Here’s 8 common questions that I often get asked about the workshops.

1. What’s the style of teaching

The main purpose of the workshop is for you to have fun and enjoy what you are making. Whilst there is an element of teaching it is certainly not in a classroom style. You’ll be getting your hands stuck in making whilst I am on hand at all times to guide you.Learn how to make your own bath products at

Questions often pop up throughout the workshop, whether these be about the ingredients, products or skin care. I love answering all the questions.

The workshops are often set in small friendly cafes where we use a large table. I don’t like the formal teaching setups and much prefer it when we are all sitting around a table. For this reason I only run the workshops in small groups.

2. Can I come on my own

These workshops are very friendly so don’t worry even if you don’t know anyone before the event. I’m sure you’ll leave having made new friends.

3. What ingredients do you use

Each ingredient is carefully chosen for their therapeutic properties and purchased from high quality suppliers. I do not use animal derived ingredients or ingredients that have been tested on animals.

4. Do I need to take notes

This is a hands on event, so come prepared to get stuck in. You will be provided with a workbook which lists all the ingredients, quantities and aromatherapy blends that you’ll be using. Before we start mixing the ingredients you will choose the essential oils you wish to use and then write these into your workbooks (pens are supplied).Choosing essential oil blends at this hands on workshop

You get to take your workbooks home so if you want to add any extra notes then your workbook is the perfect place to keep everything together. I share many tips about natural ingredients and about making your own natural skin care products so feel free to write any notes in your workbooks.

I’m often asked about ingredients in skin care products, and which ingredients to watch out for so if there is some particular information you are after, please feel free to ask.

I want you to be able to take the knowledge that you have learnt from the workshop and feel confident enough to be able to make your own products at home (should you wish to do so). This is why I developed the workbook so you have something to refer to in the future.

5. Do I need to have any prior experience

Absolutely not. I have many years experience in natural skin care product making and aromatherapy so you’ll be in safe hands.

6. What should I wear

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. I will provide you with aprons as some ingredients can be messier than others.

7. Are refreshments provided

The workshops are run in small cafes, if you wish to purchase any drinks or food then please bring some money with you.

8. What do I take home

When you attend the aromatherapy bath making workshop you’ll get to create personalised aromatherapy bath salts, bath truffles and bath bombs. Along with your handcrafted products you’ll also get a copy of my eBook ‘How to Make Your Own Skin Care Products’. This will be emailed to you after the event and includes a selection of recipes, such as rose natural perfume, hydrating rose toner, soothing night time bath soakCome along to the aromatherapy bath product making workshops in solihull
